Chocolate Chip Scones

Yield: 14 scones
Ingredients:
4 cups + 2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 ½ cups butter
5 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup raisins
2 tbsp. milk
Instructions:
Cut butter into 1-inch cubes, then place in freezer for about 15 minutes. Combine 4 cups of flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix in cold butter until pea-sized pieces form. Add 4 lightly beaten eggs and heavy cream. Coat chocolate chips in 1 tablespoon of flour, then add to dough. Place dough on well-floured surface, then roll out with floured hands and rolling pin. Knead into balls, or 1-inch thick circles to cut into slices. Brush scones with egg wash created from remaining egg and milk then sprinkle with additional sugar. Bake in 400-degree oven for 20 minutes.
