Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef or meat substitute

  • ¼ cup bulghur

  • ½ cup rice

  • 1 medium onion

  • 1 handful parsley

  • ½ cup tomato sauce

  • 1 tbsp. salt

  • 4 green peppers

  • ¼ tsp. Red cayenne pepper

  • ¼ cup water

Instructions:

Cook hamburger or meat substitute and rice on stovetop. Sauté chopped onions until golden brown. Combine beef, rice, bulghur, onion, parsley, tomato sauce, salt, cayenne pepper, and water in a large pan. Cut the top off of four peppers and remove seeds, then stuff with filling. Cover peppers and bake in 350-degree oven for 90 minutes.
