Unusual Banana Cake

Ingredients

• ½ cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 3 ripe medium-sized bananas
• ¼ cup chopped nuts
• ¼ cup maraschino cherries
• ¼ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Sift together flour and baking soda. Add mashed bananas, chopped nuts, cut-up cherries, and chocolate chips. Pour mixture into greased bread pan and bake in 350-degree oven for 50 minutes .
